Why I Started Malaysian Counsel
I’m a Malaysian lawyer, but more importantly, I’m someone who believes that legal knowledge should not be reserved for lawyers alone.
One thing I realised early in my legal career is that the law is often made to appear far more complicated than it needs to be.
For many people, legal information is hidden behind technical jargon, lengthy documents, and complex explanations that can leave them feeling confused and dependent on others to tell them what their rights are. While the law itself can be complex, understanding the basic principles behind it should not require a law degree.
I started Malaysian Counsel because I believe legal knowledge should be accessible to everyone, not just lawyers and legal professionals. People should be able to understand their rights, obligations, and options without having to struggle through pages of legal terminology.
My mission is to break down legal concepts into clear, practical, and easy-to-understand language so that ordinary Malaysians can make informed decisions with confidence. The more people understand the law, the better equipped they are to protect themselves, their families, and their businesses.
Knowledge should empower people, not intimidate them.
